T-handle locks for garage doors sit on the outside of your garage just near the bottom and in the center. The lock is shaped like a ‘t’ with the bottom of the ‘t’ being placed on the garage door. This leaves the upper part of the t-handle to be used as a handle to pull up and pull down on the garage door.
